DESCRIPTION:The Start Crewing and Helming Course at RQYS is designed for beginners\, aged 16 and over\, to build their keelboat sailing skills over 4 days. Participants will learn foundational crewing techniques such as sail trimming\, safety essentials\, knot tying\, and sailing theory. SUMMARY:RQYS Schools Teams Racing Term 4 2025
DESCRIPTION:RQYS is the largest host club of High Schools sailing in Queensland\, and one of the largest in the country. RQYS  hosts inter-school Teams and Fleet racing during the summer school terms. Presently RQ has 6 High school programs based at the club with more schools travelling in from around Brisbane and the Gold Coast for weekend competition. We’re excited to kick off another Term of sailing and windsurfing with you all. \nTraining will resume on Wednesday 8th October 2025\, with specific start dates outlined in the fleet training schedule. Please note that not all fleets start or finish on the same day! \nPlease Note: \n\nPlease ensure that BOTH the skipper and crew register for 2-handed boats.\nIf you need to hire equipment\, please confirm availability with the Sailing Academy first\, then complete our Equipment Hire Registration HERE.\nIt’s important to note that each class has a minimum attendance requirement.
