NORTHSTAR is designed to bring modern technology, convenience, and seamless service to every aspect of our Club’s life, replacing multiple disconnected systems with one unified database, making your engagement with the Squadron simpler and more intuitive. This project unites our accounting, Member database, web portal, Point-of-Sale (POS) and mobile app in a single, integrated platform. This system will also connect key financial aspects with our Marina Management software, for a single view of activities at the Squadron. What’s changing for Members? Key enhancements include: Centralised Member Portal: Enjoy a single secure login to manage your profile, view financial statements, book events and dining, and handle account payments effortlessly. Feature-Packed Mobile App: Access digital Member cards right from your smartphone wallet, check balances, view event schedules, and complete a number of self-service features. Tailored Communications: Receive direct, automated notifications on news, race notices, and events aligned strictly with your interests — delivered via the portal and app notifications. Connected Dining & On-Deck Ordering: Take advantage of streamlined Point-of-Sale ordering and dining reservations, all linked directly to your Member profile. Project leader Melissa Hardy is excited to share an important milestone: the ‘go-live’ target date — 1 November 2026 — will see the Squadron’s different computer systems transition to NORTHSTAR, a world-class, industry-leading, ‘all-in-one’ club management platform and database. Whipbird Chenin Blanc 2025 (Margaret River, WA) Featured in The Weekend Australian Drinks Issue, this vibrant white was named in Nick Ryan’s Top 100 Wines, scoring an impressive 94 points. He praised its beautiful notes of waxy lemon pith, creamed honey, and fresh, sprightly fragrance, noting it is “a genuine bargain to boot”.
