RQYS MAINSHEET 2026

 Our events program has once again been a highlight of the Season. Guided by the House, Entertainment and Marketing Committee, we have continued to refine the calendar with an emphasis on quality, relevance and member engagement. Rather than simply increasing the number of events, we have focused on creating experiences that align with the Club’s strategic objectives while continuing to deliver our annual offering for our diverse membership. From Opera on the Lawn and the ever- expanding Get Onboard Boat Expos to Generations of RQYS and our growing Topic Talk series, the diversity of this year’s program reflects the many interests within our community. In case you missed the ever-popular Cooking for Christmas demonstration and tasting, I encourage you to join us this October — perhaps after recovering from the 2026 Canaipa Members’ Party Oktoberfest! I would like to sincerely thank my team, and the Functions and Hospitality teams, whose dedication and countless hours of work transform ideas into memorable experiences. We are equally grateful for the positive feedback received through our Member Surveys, which continue to guide our planning and inspire us to improve. With responsibility for promoting such a diverse range of business units — including the Sailing Office, Hospitality, Marina and Boatyard, Sailing Academy, Membership, Cruising Groups and our many Committees — our small team of four remains incredibly appreciative of the encouragement and support we receive. It is that support which enables us to continually challenge ourselves to enhance the Member experience and ensure that every visit to RQYS reflects the values and aspirations of this exceptional Club. n Above (L > R): Alicia Soszynski, Simone Hasker, Andy Williams and Anton Prange caught spruiking the benefits of getting involved!
