The destination for every occasion Exceptional food, outstanding service and unforgettable experiences continue to define our hospitality journey. As another successful year re-sets with the Spring launch of the 142nd Season, we’re proud to reflect on the continued growth across our hospitality operations and the people who make RQYS such a special destination. At the heart of our success is our passionate team: from our talented chefs creating fresh, seasonal dishes to our front-of-house staff delivering warm hospitality, everyone shares a genuine commitment to creating memorable experiences for our Members and guests. Our kitchen continues to innovate and we have recently launched a Spring menu created by Chef Darryn, its focus on quality and fresh local ingredients to produce new creations and family favourites. Whether you are joining us for breakfast overlooking the harbour, a relaxed lunch with friends, or dinner as the sun sets across the marinas, we are committed to delivering a wide food selection that reflects the quality our Members have come to expect. Complementing every dining experience is our dedicated Bistro team, whose professional care continues to set the benchmark for service. We have recently welcomed several new staff — including Rachelle and Jake in senior roles — so please make them feel welcome! Our Functions team has enjoyed another outstanding year, with significant growth in bookings across the Boardwalk, Auditorium, the Girdis and Flags Rooms and the Commodores’ Lounge. Behind this success is a passionate sales team that has helped more clients than ever celebrate their lives’ most important milestones. From the initial enquiry through to the final farewell, our Function Operations team brings every occasion to life with seamless execution and very personalised service. What sets RQYS apart is our complete hospitality offering. Few venues can provide the unique combination of expansive waterfront lawns, naturally light-filled function spaces, spectacular marina views, quality dining (as well as accommodation just moments away) and an experienced team delivering every element under one roof. It’s this versatility, combined with our reputation for quality that continues to see more people choosing RQYS as their venue of choice. With the page turning over to a new Sailing Season, RQYS Hospitality Leads Andy Williams (Bistro) and Rachelle Lamb (Functions) muse on the many facets of our Squadron’s special appeal to Members, guests and visitors alike.
