RQYS MAINSHEET 2026

Inspired by water Built for it  With the race taking longer than expected, presentations were moved to Sunday morning, allowing all competitors to be part of the celebrations, ensuring everyone could come together to mark the successful conclusion of the inaugural event. Representing the multihull fleet, Noire completed a successful passage north to claim both the OMR and PHS Multihull titles. Events like this simply wouldn’t happen without the incredible support of our volunteers, race officials, sponsors and partners. A heartfelt ‘thank-you’ goes to Bundaberg Port Marina, Pacific Tug Group, QMF Music Trails, Ingenia Lifestyle, Yachtshare, The Yacht Sales Co, Hitz 939, Coral Cove Ocean Estate, Lighthouse Hotel, Robert Oatley Wines, Bundaberg Rum, XXXX, Club Marine, our dedicated Volunteers and everyone who helped bring this event to life. Plans are already in hand for the 2027 Brisbane to Bundaberg Yacht Race and, if this year’s inaugural event is anything to go by, it’s only going to get bigger and better. We’ve also heard whispers that Yachtshare’s bus trip back down south might feature a compulsory stop at the Bundaberg Distillery and a Bundy pub lunch before heading home ... and, honestly, we think that’s a tradition worth building! Congratulations again, Wedgetail, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back to the start line in 2027. n Above: Hitz 939 Bundaberg breakfast show host Tracey (L) at Bundaberg Port Marina with winning listeners of the station’s ‘VIP Experience’ competition.
