s @ our Squadron 3 • Past-Commodores’ Cup On 17 May 2026, the 13th anniversary of the Past-Commodores’ Cup Navigation event was held in calm and overcast conditions. Eleven vessels competed in GPS and Traditional Divisions on a 9.74nm course around Green and St Helena Islands, before returning to the Squadron for lunch and presentations in the Flags Function Room. The GPS course featured 30 checkpoint gates, while the Traditional course used eight gates and relied on hand-bearing compasses and speed through the water. Competition was tight, with a tie for first in the GPS Division and only four points separating third, fourth and fifth. The Traditional Division saw just eight points separate first and second. Grant Somerville on Catchcry I claimed the Wallace Bishop Memorial Prize for first on handicap in the GPS Division, while Jim O’Hare on Fortitude took Traditional first on handicap.
