Throughout 2025-26, Making Waves Foundation (MWF) continued creating pathways to possibility for young people and adults living with disability, experiencing disadvantage, or facing barriers to participation. Through our partnership with RQYS, participants developed new skills, built confidence, formed friendships, and experienced the real sense of achievement that comes from being part of a crew. Over the past year, MWF Brisbane delivered 54 Winds of Change sessions and 39 Winds of Joy sessions, providing 681 participant experiences across 13 schools and three community organisations. Every participant arrived with their own goals, challenges, and aspirations, but all shared the opportunity to step aboard, contribute, and discover what they could achieve.
